To do this you will need a four inch or a 6 in. tile, a brush, a ceramic under glaze in a dark color, a container of clear glaze, and a damp sponge. Wipes or paper towels to scrub off baby’s hands should also be kept handy. You should not have any problem finding all the necessary materials at your local craft store. Before beginning the project ensure that both the tile and baby’s hands are clean and dry. Paint baby’s hand using the dark under glaze being bound to keep the fingers separated. When the hand is covered in paint place is on the ceramic tile carefully so you get an impression of the complete hand. You may also add other touches such as designs and your baby’s name and date of birth. Allow the tile to dry totally and them apply a coat of clear glaze.

Plaster is an extra perfect material to use when making baby handprints. Step 1 will be to put some plaster into a tiny container. Pat a little oil on baby’s hand and then press it gently in the plaster. To get a total print you will need to apply delicate pressure to each part of the hand. Baby’s hand will need to be cleaned after you remove it from the plaster. Employ a knife or bamboo skewer to etch baby’s name and date of birth in the plaster before it is completely dry. If you are particularly artistic you can put other designs in the plaster as well.
