1 Sep 2009Crib bedding can certainly improve the looks of a child’s nursery, however, bear in mind that matching comforters and pillows are of no value, in fact they are risky in a baby’s bed. You should talk to your pediatrician to get details, but in general, don’t use more infant bedding than you need to.
While cute and cuddly, stuffed animals should be removed from the crib before your child is asleep as they can cause your child to suffocate. As long as you are watching, your child can play with toys in the crib, but take them out as soon as he becomes sleepy, and make sure they’re out of reach.
You’ll have much more freedom to decorate a toddler’s bed, because then it will make sense to have comforters and pillows on the bed, but by that time, your child will expect to make at least some of the decisions.
