28 Nov 2009According to US Crime Statistics, in 2007 a burglary occurred roughly every 14 seconds. Imagine: every 14 seconds a person’s home was violated, his belongings were stolen or destroyed, and his faith in the safety of house was forever shaken from that moment on.
The goal of home security systems is to bring back this feeling of safety. There is a great variety of systems: some are wireless home security systems, some are hard-wired systems. Some have motion sensors, some have cameras. Some have flood sensors, some do not.
Some are continuously monitored by an external company and some only raise alarms. Yet all these systems have the same goal: to protect your home from burglaries, and ultimately, make you feel safer.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise that homes that have monitored home security systems installed are three times more likely to broken into, statistically speaking. This is obvious: when home security camera systems that actively enable watching over your house are enabled, your house is positively safer from every conceivable view point.
Furthermore, in recent years, purchasing a wireless home security system has become increasingly popular. The reason is simple: wireless security systems are easier to install than their hardwired counterparts, don’t need any alterations to one’s home (such as drilling in the walls), have a greater range, allow easy monitoring and that’s just the beginning.
I’ll finish this article with three bits of advice: (a) It is an excellent idea to buy a home security system and (b) if you’re obtaining such a system, you may as well go with a wireless system from all the mentioned reasons. (c) a very good source of information for these products is Alarm System Wireless – a site dedicated to offering information on home security systems.
